Valerie Williams
Valerie Williams, who has been playing disc golf for 8 years and always helps her local disc golf community. She started Wicked Aces Disc Golf in 2019 to grow the sport and connect disc golfers together in a community hub that everyone feels welcome.

I started playing in 2018, as a way to spend time with my (then boyfriend). I rapidly fell in love. We started playing every weekend. However, it wasn’t until WGE 2018 that I truly understood the community. All the women, with the same goal. I’ve committed to growing the sport for women. Made some of my best friends through disc golf. Also married my hubby at a course!

Shawn Pitts
My name is Shawn Pitts and I have been playing disc golf competitively since 2017. I co-run ParKings Disc Golf Club in Northern Illinois. I love how disc golf has introduced me to some amazing people throughout my years of competition as well as causal play. I am looking forward to another amazing year representing Wicked Aces on and off the disc golf course!

I started playing in 2018 when my husband's friend showed us how to play. Once I learned the basics, I was hooked and have been full steam ahead since then. What’s up my name is Dom and I live in Columbia, SC! I originally grew up in Florida and moved up to South Carolina to take a job as a Campus Minister at USC. I started playing Disc Golf while living in Gainesville, Fl during 2020 as I play Ultimate Frisbee during college. Once the state shut down, all team sports were none existent for awhile so a friend of mine bought discs for me for my birthday that year and I’ve been playing ever since. I love competing and meeting many new people on the course and throughout the community and love forward to helping the sport of disc golf grow!

I started playing disc golf in May 2021 and have played almost 20 different courses in 4 different states since. My main goal is to keep improving and to grow the sport while I’m at it. Disc golf has taught me so much both on the course and off and the community is one like no other. I will probably disc golf until die.

Andrew Stocklin
Starting in late 2019, Andrew Stocklin has devoted his days to practicing any time he can. By watching his favorite players compete he has quickly fallen in love with the sport and strives to improve his technique. Andrew works to grow the sport through his Youtube channel and by hosting events to introduce new players to the game. His faith plays a big part in how dedicated and passionate he is about disc golf and all aspects of his life. He is honored to be on Team Wicked Aces this year and hopes to bring more young people to the sport while improving his PDGA rating by playing in as many events as possible.

Wes Johnson
I've been playing disc golf regularly since 2015 and officially turned professional in 2022. During that time I have played in two PDGA Amateur World Championships and the United States Amateur Matchplay Championships, I have served as the (former) President and (current) Treasurer for the Savannah Disc Golf Association, and I am currently the coach for the Georgia Southern collegiate disc golf team. Disc golf is my passion, and I'm constantly working to build myself up, as well as those around me.​

I am a college student who has been playing Disc Golf for about 2 and a half years. I found it as a perfect quarantine activity, and it has blossomed into so much more for me. I have improved pretty quickly and I can attest that to my hard working and competitive mindset. I recently made the switch to the Professional division, and I hope to now compete at the highest level I can.

Ruth (Rewthie Toothie) Miller
I started playing disc golf August 2019. I played my first tournament in October. I just started helping set up and I have been helping ever since. I have participated in volunteering at disc golf tournaments, course maintenance, clinics, and other events. For 2023, I will carry out my 3rd year as a member of the Music City Disc Golf Board of Directors. I am always excited to see lady disc golfers out on the course and to travel 8 hours away to play Women's disc golf tournaments.

I have been playing the sport for 16 years now. It started out as something I would do after school just to pass time with friends. It took me 12 years of playing casual fun rounds before I knew how big it was in Colorado. I quickly joined as many Facebook groups as I could and started to become very active in the community. A year later I entered my first tournament, and I haven't looked back since. Disc Golf has challenged both my physical and mental game and I love every aspect of the game. When I am not throwing, I like to offer my time to our local clubs to make sure the Colorado disc golf scene remains strong.

Sierra Buford
Sierra started playing disc golf in 2018 but it wasn't until 2020 that she found the Atlanta women's disc golf club and became overwhelmingly passionate about growing the sport. She co-TD'ed her first event in the fall of 2020 and has since hosted 7 total women's disc golf events in just 2 years. She has now taken on the leader role of the Atlanta Women's Disc Golf club (GaLs) and is excited to continue to grow the club (and now nonprofit) and carry on the legacy that was created over 10 years ago.
